My laptop wont work some one help me please

ok i was on my aspire one netbook aod250 last night and i dropped it. the side of it hit the floor and i picked it up. the battery came out so it died right thrn i put the battery back in didnt think much of it.later i went to get on it then the screen came on but there were all kinds of lines on it and it didnt show any thing else i need some help any ideas?

It might be a problem with your screen. The damage to the screen might be internal, so connect you laptop to an external display. to make sure the computer detects the display, turn on the computer with the external display pplugged in and immediatly shut the laptops screen closed
