Display too large

Hello,
I was downloading a new graphics driver for my HP 8300F and the screen went black, then a small window came up with "display too large" I cannot get into windows, is there a way to change it as windows is loading?

if you start windows in "safe mode" it should default to 800 x 600 and then you can change the video card options. Safe mode is F8 when the Windows logo first appears.
