I just bought the bytecc 2.5'' enclosure from hoopstick and it is also not reading the drive. I took it out of the enclosure and put it in a laptop but still couldnt read it. Maybe we have more than one problem on our hands.

Hello, check this one...
click start->control panel->select add or remove hardware->and following intructions it detects u hard disk.
