Laptop is turning off when battery is full

Hello,
my laptops battery was full then i switch off the charger after 5 mins my laptop turned off immediately
i was trying to restart it but it didnt than when i started it on putting the charger on its started but as soon as i took the power off it turnes off whats wrong and my battery is full. pleease help me.

Hi there,
Its your battery which s not retaining the charge given to it,you will have to change it,when using new battery in order not to get same problem let it charge to full then remove charger and when remain is about 20 to 25 % you can plug in adapter thus the life of the battery will be longer.
