Updating to XP SP3 and cannot connect to IE8

Hi All

Can someone please helo me?

I have installed Windows XP SP3 and now my wireless internet (IE8) just continously says, "aquiring network address". I have tried to plug in the connection but it makes no difference.

In the meantime I have restored my laptop back to yesterday (before I made the update). But I would like to have XP SP3, so how can I install the updates so the internet still works?

If you have the windows XP installer with you, try to load it in windows and then click repair, so it will take care of some damages caused by other programs, or maybe worms and trojans. be sure to have an antivirus to block those unwanted programs..hope it helps
