Computer Restarts when reading xp setup files

Hi,
I just recently re-formatted my computer and when it is going to the windows set up mode it begins to decompress files from my cd. it go to 25% then the computer freezes and then restarts itself, doing the same process over. i would appreciate some help, and will answer any questions that you ask.
