1. wireless desktop - working fine - excellent strength internet working
2. bought a new Linksys N and set up 9On mixed and set per Linksys)
3. All my computers are wireless - 2 laptops and 2 desktops
4. 2 laptops work, 1 desktop works - 1 desktop cant find wireless or internet
5 worked on desktop and assigned an ip address 198.162.0.106 per linksys - great signal and connection to network
6. No internet..........
7. turned off all virus and firewall (mcafee)
I should not have had to set an IP as I was just moving from a G network to an N but hey they all see the wireless network no problem - must mention that this is my granddaughters pc (she is 7) so who knows what she hit
I am going to try the winsock fix software mentioned tonight but if anyone knows anything else I should set let me know
