Windows live messenger

Okay so i have been trying to install msn messenger but everytime it says
windows live messenger is already installed
but it shows up nowhere in my computer i've looked in every file and
when i go to the home page and click messenger it pops up and then pops away
how do i get msn messenger on my computer to work?

Well...
I don't know if this would help any, have you installed the latest and upgraded windows live messenger? Because that might be it. :)
