Dvd wont play

Hello,
A friend lend me a movie on dvd but whenever I will try to open the movie to watch it windows will give me a list of programs to watch the movie, I choose power dvd and all I can get is power dvd cant open the movie and that the format is not supported. Actually from what I can see is that the extension is .divx
Anyone can help me in resolving this issue please?

Hi dude,
It's a bit curious that you tell me that power dvd cant read the movie because it supports .divx but if this is the case with your power dvd try downloading a software called vlc player and try to play the movie with it.
