No display, only continuous beeps

I encountered a serious problem yesterday when after being properly shut down a day before, when I tried to start my pc yesterday, to my surprise, I could hear only continuous beeps from the CPU and no display on the monitor.I tried several times but the result was the same.I checked my monitor on some other PC, it is totally fine.Everything else seems to be fine except something in the CPU itself.
I suppose its a hardware problem but can't guess.I am in real need of help.Plz someone do the favor!!!
