I am using xp pro, I have an epsom sx215 printer and I would like to know how i can get this printer to see the compatable ink cartridges, it only works with the named branded ones

someone said there is a way to overide this

Hi yes I have bought compatable ink cartridges but the printer does not accept them, but will with genuine ones, someone said there is a way of getting the printer to accept these cartridges

I have the same model and have had no problems using ink from Cartridge World, Usually theres a plated contact that can be removed, and then remove the little bit of plastic underneath and replace the plated contact. (Its not hard). Your cartridge should then fit into the carriege.

(Its a Copyright thing to get around the Patent Epsons got)

Hold down Index Sheet and Scan together, and you be able to plonk it in.
