Laptop stuck in boot up loop

My ASUS laptop dropped about 1.5 to 2 ft onto carpet. Shut down completely and now will not get past the start up "Gamers" logo. Screen goes black then loops again. Anyone have any ideas? Tech support had me unplug the AC and battery, do a reset, hold the power button for 15 seconds (without any power) but no positive results. She then offered for me to send it to IN (I'm in NJ) for a complete evaluation, but couldn't give any kind of cost estimates for different scenarios (she mentioned it seemed like a hardware issue).

Hi there,

As mentioned it was dropped its not strange that it had a hardware issue as memory or hard drive must have been misplaced during fall.

Thanks.

The hard drive was damaged in the fall enough to not allow Windows to actually start. The data was able to be retrieved. Neither the hard drive nor the memory cards were "misplaced".
