USB memory stick won't work

PC shuts down when I insert USB memory stick...it works ok on my laptop....windows xp is the system

Dear Sir,

There might be some corrupted file in the pen causing the trouble. Otherwise it could be coming from the USB port. Please connecting it to another PC to see the result and indicate.
