Transfering videos to phone

i bought a new samsung S3500 phone yesterday. I installed the samsung pc studio. but im unable to play videos in my phone which i transferred from my pc. i used the video convertor to convert the video files. but im unable to play files even after that. so plz tell me how to transfer video files to my phone. also tell me the correct way to use the video convertor in the pc studio if its the only way that i can transfer files to my phone..my phone video files format - 3gp format !!
