PC Defender Reg Key/ Scam- Vista dell laptop

Hello,
My Laptop will not start unless i register with PC Defender, i dont seem to be able to pass this screen to get to my desktop.
Any help on how to bypass this and remove this virus would be much appreciated.

Is it possible for you to boot your machine in safe mode with networking, if your answer is affirmative, we are holding this Trojan Horse by the neck.
