I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I have an NVidia Geforce 8500 card. Recently while playing a game my game froze and crashed my computer. The blue screen that came up said it was trying to restart the display driver but timed out. So I booted into safe mode and everything came up fine. I disabled my NVida card and then restarted and my computer booted up correctly without being in safe mode. Next I uninstalled / reinstalled my correct NVidia driver from their website, everything installed correctly, I rebooted and I could not get pass the Windows 7 loading logo. :( Oooh also the very first thing I did was a system restore cause I wasn't sure what was going on.
Is there a way to check if it's truly dead? Or can I just assume it is? Appreciate the help!

Trying it in another computer will probably proove either way.
were there any updates to your system prior to this happening.
i had a perfectly good laptop give up the ghost because of a rogue update from microsoft.
had to do a full system recovery back to factory settings and rejected the rogue update.
when you say a system restore, do you mean a roll back? or a complete factory reset?
