Thank you for answering. However the classic environment is no longer supported on my mac OS X 10.5 and I am trying to get my (classic) epson 1200 to be recognised. The reason is because it's a really good robust scanner and I don't want to buy another. I've found the USB dictionary via DevicesInfo p.list which you can tweak to recognise my scanner etc but am now am stuck on the last leg of instructions. These entail copying some/all? of the dictionary and writing in the scanners id etc. But how much to copy and where to insert is confusing. Look forward to hearing from someone.
Thanks in advance. PS I am no expert so please 'speak slowly'!
