Lets say your dates are in column A

Select Column A
Go to Data, and choose Text to column
choose delimited
click on next
remove all checks
click on next
choose data and pick the right format for your data. This is the format in which the data current appears. It seems you would be using DMY (date, month year) and click finish

Gaurav , DMY or MDY or other format you choose, based on the date that in the data. In the original question, the date was 13/04/2010 which showed that in data date is in DMY format. Well as long as issue is resolved. Have you not heard saying Eat mangoes, dont count tree. :D
