Skype download problem Closed

Question

I have an acer running on windows 7 internet Explorer 8 and cannot download skype error Skype.Setup[1].exe is not a valid win32 application. what can the problem be.
Someone please help I strugle with this now for a month

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 8.0
