Back-up files?

Hello, Hi I had to erase my toshiba satellite L305D-S59222 complety and how am I going to install some programs that I use to have for example vista? i had to erase the hard disk because it had a big trojan virus and others more so do you think i can get to install something to it? or do it comes with there disk because this computer is from a friend of mine. Help!
