Computer Game Won't Play - GAME: 'Driver'

Hello, I'm trying to play an old computer game (9 years), but the game doesn't start. When I try to start the application, the title of the game shows, then it goes away and nothing happens.

When I try to start the game, I hear the CD start running, then stop.

The game CD doesn't have enough scratches to not work at all and game loaded onto my computer alright.

The game is 'Driver.' Its a car chase game made in 1999.

go to your install folder and right click the executable (probably the one with the same logo as the shortcut)
then go to the compatibility tab
check execute in compatibility mode then try any of the lower options my geuss is windows 98 or 2003
