Hello,
I bought a copy of windows 7 online but when I installed it I keep getting a message that it is not geniune.
I have removed ALL microsoft applications but it is still on the machine and I can't get rid of it. I have purchased a genuine copy today but am worried about installing it whilst this rubbish is still there.
I am not very computer literate so am clueless of where to start and any instructions need to be basic!
Thanks

Just format the hard disk when installing Windows (I believe that is the default) - That should delete everything.

Good Luck

Hi.
There wouldn't hurt nothing if you just formatted all the drive from the windows disc .
You don't need to delete it before , but anyways -
use GParted and delete everything you see there.
