Sound problem on hp

Hello,



the sound on my hp dv6000 series, was working fine, until i tripped and yanked the headphones out the headphone jack>>all the sound on my laptop stop working>>and its not on muted>>and i tried putting the headphones in the jack and pulling it out but it didnt work>>can someone help me plz

Please confirm whether the headphone is not damaged by connecting it to another device.
