The fall may have dislodged the hard drive.
Remove battery and power lead if attached.
Open hard drive cover (Most are on the bottom of the laptop or on the side somewhere) and remove the HD check there are no bent pins and replace.
If you get the same message you may have damaged the HD if you can lay your hands on another working HD try that.
If the BIOS regognises that and not the original then you need a new HD.
