VGA Cable- No Audio!

Hi,
I just bought a VGA cable hooked it up to my laptop, and turned around my Vizio HD TV. The only port the VGA plug looked like it fit into was labeled RBG PC. The other options were HDMI and S-Video/AV1.
The visual is there, however there is no sound.
I messed around on my boyfriend's laptop on the sound settings and somehow made the visual disappear on the TV. I definalty don't want to do that again to my laptop. So please help!

Hi there,
With vga cable you will not get sound as in hdmi ,you need to use another cable for the sound.
