Laptop to TV audio, but no video

Hello,

I have a Vaio laptop and a Sony TV. I am trying to display my screen on the TV. I am using an AV cord, but when i connect it i get sound but no video. Tryed hitting Fn and F7 but nothing happens. Also tryed messing around in the display settings with a secondary monitor but i can't get it.

That is the opposite of what my problem is. I get sound but no video. Just a side note it's an older TV, it's not a flat screen.

Ok, I have an update. I got the Fn key to work, but when I hit Fn F7 the only option is LCD only. I tryed hitting it multiple times and using the arrow keys but that doesn't do anything.
