make sure your system settings are setup for "best performance"
disable graphical background images
uninstall unused programs
clear startup folder and startup programs using "msconfig", also disable most "automatic" services, disable unused hardware, change up your PC's frequency in BIOS
do disk defragmentation, use smaller cluster size for OS and programs, while big clusters for media
make sure your swap file uses half of your memory size
drop in some RAM
