HP DV6500 Shows 6 small screensSolved/Closed

Question

Hello, 

I think this is a hardware problem but I thought give it a try here. My laptop screen shows 6 smaller screens instead of 1 big screen. I think the video card is creating problems. But my windows XP SP3 won't boot either. It boots in safe mode with the 6 screens and nothing if it boots normally.

has anyone else had this issue ??  if yes...let me know the fix you found or not at all..



Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.0.19

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I tried the advice to keep pressing the F8 button and it worked!!!! Fastest repair I've ever seen in my life!!!! :D

Hello, 

Try this 1 

1) When you switch ON your laptop, keep pressing the "F8" key to get 

"Windows Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and keep 

tapping the F8 key) 

2) Select the option "Enable VGA Mode" --> Press Enter

im having the same problem ! it started when my laptop overheated.. and now  I have always 6 small screens (image not clear).. what can I do?
