Storage Medium Problem.

Hello I have been having a big problem, no matter how I put in a storage medium (SD cards, micro sd, etc,) I can't access any of it. The cards themselves work on everything else like their supposed to. The only time I can access them is if I uninstall the multi-card reader/writer on my system and have it reinstall itself. I am running window xp pro 64-bit
