Speakers wont turn back on

Hello, I have an HP Pavilion dv4, and i cant get my speakers to work! I had enabled my HDMI connection to watch a movie off of netflix on my tv through the HDMI cable, but now i cant get my speakers IN my laptop to turn on again! the little speaker icon in the right hand corner is missing, and it says that my "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC" is enabled...but i dont hear anything...HELP!

Dear Sir,

Please consider checking in the Device Manager whether you need to have its sound driver updated.
