Ensure that player is formatted with FAT system. If this doesn't help, it might be thate information stored in the MP3 tags interfere with the players file system. Load the songs into a MP3 editor programme, such as All Sound Editor, and save it, just overwriting the old file on the player. Additional information like album cover or lyrics might be lost then (That's why you shouldn't edit and save the file on your source harddrive).
