Hi guys, I hope you can help me as I'm getting pretty frustrated...

I have a Vista and over night all of sudden my wifi stopped detecting any networks (while my brother's laptop has no troubles, no changes).

I checked and it says the device is working properly and it is definitelly on (blue light).

It works on a cable but as soon as I take it off, there is no internet, no networks at all.

I would really appreciate if you can give some advise...
Thanks a lot,

Have you checked your adapter sound like the problem may be there Have you put in the network key.
Try disabling the adapter and turning it on again or uninstall it from system devices turn off computer and turn on again and it should reinstall automatically

Not sure if this works the same with vista right click the screen in task bar and click on status then support to check if you have Address Type selected to Assigned by DHCP and that your IP address is correct.
I assume this is a built in adapter. try a usb or card adapter if you can lay hands to one and see if you have the same problem.

A thought! have you got your network switch to on?
You could also try this site and run a check.
