hello everyone, my wifes laptop keyboard is messed up just need some help from you guys..when i try to press shift then the question mark key this is the one going to appear on the screan

É --- this is the one appearing on the screen instead of a question mark..any help highly appreciated...just to let you know i dont have a numluck key on this laptop its brand new just got it last week toshiba L450-03d satellite...thanks in advance

You might have the French keyboard turned on. What you want to do is enable the English keyboard. This Microsoft web page gives instructions to change it.
