Unable to install SUSE on Dell Inspiron 1545

Hello friends,

I am not able to install SUSE linux 10 on my Dell inspiron 1545. During the phase when bootable, first CD starts, after some time system asks message if I want to use CD Rom. When I enter CD Rom and proceed, system gives me error 'no CD rom is mounted'.
I am surprised because the installer program is running from the same CD drive whereas it stucks afterwards.

Any help would be highly appriciated.

Hi there,

Well i guess its same procedure as installing xp on it,that is to disable sata in bios,try it ,here are the instructions:
