Acer desktop not loading HD

Hello,
I have received an Acer Desktop PC from my parents as they dont use it. I took my 1TB HD from my old broken down pc and placed it inside, the problem is that it loads to the windows startup screen then pauses before restarting and this happens over and over again. I cannot find a solution and would be very grateful if someone could help me. Thank you.

You will need to reinstall Windows.
When you first install Windows it customizes itself to the hardware it finds. When you move the hard disk to a different computer if finds new hardware and often can not resolve the differences. You MIGHT be able to boot from the Windows disk and do a "Repair". If that doesn't work the a fresh windows install should.
