Calculate efficiency

Hello,

I have excel sheet with 4 columns, User Name, Manufacturing Item, Quantity and Time taken to manufacture that particular item.

I have the data for all users.

Now I wanted to calculate total time taken for each group (i.e Manufacturing items) and total quantity of each groups.

Then I wanted to calcualte the efficiency. i.e how efficient a user with another user.

Formula is: efficiency = Total time taken / particular user time taken.

I have checked the recent post from "Rahul", for me total is not working.

I must be missing some thing here. You already have formula for summing each group. So what is the issue ?

Yes I have formula if I am doing manual. But I wanted to automate this steps using macro.

so you want data to be sorted into groups via macro and add the formulas for each group?. The reason I am confused is that you already have groups made out. So when you have the group created, you add formula at the same time. as you insert or delete the rows inside a group, the formula will get adjusted on its own

but the output I mentioned in the link that I created using macro. so I wanted to add this part to that macro code. So I wanted add formulas using macro...

Since you seem to have a macro too, could you please upload a sample EXCEL file WITH sample data, MACRO, formula , conditional formatting etc on some shared site like https://authentification.site , http://docs.google.com, http://wikisend.com/ , etc and post back here the link to allow better understanding of how it is now and how you foresee. Based on the sample book, could you re-explain your problem too
