Hello Mate,

I had used Folder Lock S/W long back(dont remember the version) and forgot the password.

i tried to unlock the folder but failed. finally I uninstalled the S/W n formatted the system. But went in vain.

That folder contains few pics & now when ever I try to open it by double clicking it, a control panel window automatically opens.

kindly resolve the problem.

Thanks.

Hi vivek,

If possible I suggest you to make a backup copy of that folder.

Try this 1

1) Open notepad and paste this line

ren filename.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} filename

Note: Replace the word "filename" with your folder name in the above line.

2) Now save the file as fix.bat (Note: don't forget the .bat extension)

3) Now copy the fix.bat file to the drive that contain your folder. Now double click

on fix.bat file.

Check this 1 also.

Click on Start ---> Run --->type regedt32 and click on OK.

Registry editor will be opened.

Navigate to this location.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory

now click on "Shell"

At the right side there will be a file "Default". It's value should be none.

If its not set to none, then double click on default and type none and click on OK.

This is specific for this type of problem. If you have questions regarding a different subject, I would suggest describing what you are attempting to do, so that we can get an idea of what kind of finished product you want. Please repost as a seperate forum question, with what you are trying to do.

Thank you!
