Hello,
I have a virus on my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop. Is there a way I can get it off without paying anything. When I turn it on it shows the Dell logo then it goes to a black screen and thats all it does. Can I just wipe everything off the laptop & reinstall my Windows 7? Please help I need it fixed before I start school again.

Greetings JStamper,
No, you do not have a virus but a serious hardware problem.
I suggest that you insert your Win disk and reboot. If it does boot, try the repair option. If it does not boot, your only recourse is to get it to a repair shop for a physical, manual repair.
