Why do my apps keep getting deleted? Closed

Hey so i have had the same like 40 apps or so on my iphone for like ever and i just got new ones on itunes and tried to sync them onto my iphone, itunes deleted ALL of my apps off my iphone. then when i try and sync again it wont put any of the apps back in my phone.

help?

There might be a virus on it causing  this difficulty and hence you should have it formatted in order to get the problem fixed.
