Need help on installing windows XP on HP dv5

Hello,

i am trying to downgrade my laptop hp pavilion dv5 1120em, i already tried and created SATA XP and tried to install but it is not installing and is showing blue screen.

Hi there,

You need to get in bios and disable sata/native mode,then save settings and boot by xp installation cd for the downgrade.

hey dude, i think there is no option available for disabling SATA in bios settings.

my notebook PC exact model number is HP Pavilion dv5 1126em. i tried installing the latest available stat drivers downloaded from Intel and is of no use.
one i boot from the CD it is loading all the files and when is coming to ask for which HDD to install it is showing blue screen error and stopping the installation.
