After I installed xp my compaq began to autoshut down after I play a video game the
processor temperature became to high, can I fix the problem some how?

Hi,
may be Laptop overheating is resulting in Shut Down.
try to clean all the vents, blow out with canned air.
if possible clean heatsink.
