Adapter problems

Hello,

I have to PCs that I want to connect to the internet. I have a Netgear router and a D-Link adapter for the other PC. PC1 is connected to the router directly and is able to browse, however PC2 detects the router but won't stay connected. It'll stay connected for a second but cuts off again. I've checked the firewalls and the router configurations and it all looks fine. Suggestions anyone?

The ip is set to automatic or manual?
