USB 1.1 CONVERTER TO USB 2.0 [Solved/Closed]

I have an old laptop with a USB 1.1 port. I would like to convert it to 2.0 so I could make most of my external drives that uses USB 2.0, esp. my HDD player. I've researched and found out that there are cardbus adapters but my laptop has only 1 PCMCIA slot, which I am using for my wireless card. Is there any other way I can convert my USB 1.1 to 2.0 aside from a cardbus adapter?

I would very much appreciate whatever help you can extend.

Hi, xpcman!

We meet again...hehehe

Thank you so much, again. I will just have to make do of what I have til I can buy a new laptop...hehehe

Thank you
you buy a new laptop, that thing must be at least 10 years old. you cannot change much hardware in a laptop... and if you want to, good luck, its a real pain in the ace. (getting it back together)
Thank you
could one perhaps plug in a powered usb2 hub, and then plug your usb2 devices into the hub?
No internal Hardware only! I wish it was that easy!
