HI,

I need help in finding a formula. I have 2 spreadsheets, in spreadsheet B column B I have a list of inventory item names that were sold. In sheet B, column C I have the number of items sold. In spreadsheet A column B I have the list of all inventory item names and in column C I have the cost of each particular item. I need a formula that will match my item names in sheet B column B with the name in sheet A column B, then mulitply that items cost in sheet A column C with the amount sold in sheet B column C and enter the total cost of items sold in sheet B column D.

I know this has to be possible, but just too much for my mind to figure out right now. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks!
Tasha

Could you please upload a sample EXCEL file WITH sample data, macro, formula , conditional formatting etc on some shared site like https://authentification.site , http://docs.google.com, http://wikisend.com/ , http://www.editgrid.com etc and post back here the link to allow better understanding of how it is now and how you foresee. Based on the sample book, could you re-explain your problem too
