Movie plays on the laptop it doesnt show on p

Good morning I have a question and i look forward that you can solved my problem, here's the scenario movie (any file extension) plays on the laptop but it doesnt show on the projector, but any documents plays on my laptop it shows on projector, but in movie.... not show???? how can i solved my problem? Pls. help me what im going to do....
