What are the requirements for Service Pack 3, because i am always getting some error when proceeding to installation.

The first link is the overview with the "Requirements"
The second link is their "Steps to take before installing"
"Some error" really doesn't help diagnose. When doing important things it's important to carefully remember what the error is, or write it down. In this case if we don't know the error we can't tell you the problem, which is why you are here. The specific error lets us know why it's failing.
XP SP3's Requirements are the same essentially as SP1/2.
So there's no difference and your issue is something else. Permissions maybe, the account you're trying to install it with is a user and not an administrative rights account.
