Uninstalling The New Live Messenger?!

Hello, people..


I'm not sure if this problem I'm having is because of Microsoft, or because I'm doing something wrong lol.. either way..

I have Live Messenger Version 2009 [Build: 14.0.8117.416].. I don't want this version because it doesn't let you view/send webcam unless it's via 'Video Calling' [which is annoying]

So i uninstalled Live Messenger Version 2009 [Build: 14.0.8117.416]
downloaded Live Messenger Version 2009 [Build: 14.0.8089.726] and installed it (or so i thought)..

it says it completed etc etc, but when i opened Windows Live Messenger, it was the 14.0.8117.416 version and not 14.0.8089.726, which it should have been since that was the one i apparently downloaded and installed?

does anyone know how to fix this problem or if it is even fixable?

Hi there,

Its not a big issue,there is not big difference in between the version releases,get in in options and disable mic so that you can view and send video invitations.

how do you disable the mic? and i dont want to do "video calls" i want it to be just the webcam sent
