Hi,
To open a Word doc in Word from Hotmail Word Apps.
You will see 2 lines of type next to the Word logo - The name of the document, and underneath, the line 'Download'. You have the option to click on either. Click on 'Download' and you will see the usual interface to Open or Save the Word document,

I am having the same problem. I need to save docs in a Word file archive and can't with this apps setup. Also pics that come with a document can't be saved by right clicking the image and saving to file. This apps set up is of no use to me whatsoever. Why mess with something that works OK?
If it cant't be resolved quickly I will have to contact every client to re-send Word files to a different address.

Hello Gaffers,
You are among the thousands of Hotmail users who are now experiencing this problem. As you said, if you have a good recipe, why change it. The problem, from what I understand resides with Java. This is just a guess, but see if you can update your Java.
