Help DVD drive not reading any disk

Hello,

I have a problem.....I have windows 7 Ultimate which has been installed by the seller of my computer. Yesterday i wanted to watch a movie on my pc as my dvd player broke down.
i opened the door.....put the cd inside the drive and close it..... but the windows did not recognise the disk.....I p0ut another and it dows the same thing...

I removed the dvd drive and put it on my other pc which i use for gaming and has windows xp on it. The Sony DVD Drive does the same thing as in my other pc...can someone help please..
