Was wondering if anyone can shed some light on my problem.

No input to monitor, No lights on keyboard and Mouse.
Power to all peripherals, dvd opens and closes, all fans spinning including cpu, all appropriate lights, Hard drive powers on. Gateway 831GM desktop computer.
I have cleared CMOS and replaced battery.
I have removed and reseated every thing.
I have started without memory and no beep or light to indicate memory not present.
I have switched out PSU's and repeated all steps.
I even reseated the processor, the heat sink looked intact, the CPU didn't look cooked.
Although this is my first time with the 775 socket. No legs on processor.
I believe its the CPU, but can't explain why nothing else is damaged.
Is there any thing else i can try.
Or is there any way to be sure that its the CPU.

Is this a new build that never worked? If so, I would check to see that the MB is compatible with the CPU. Putting a Core 2 dual (or Core 2 Quad) in a older 775 MB is known to give that result.
